I hold this evidence to be self true,

my heart has been broken, completely ripped in two.

you looked in my eyes and told me you were just lying,

and merely turned away from my face now crumpled and crying.

after that day we never spoke again you and i,

with my fondest memories did a small part of me die.

the thought of how you used to make me feel makes me cringe inside,

but i shut it all out and hide it with a fake pride.

But really when i stick my nose up as i walk by,

its just so i dont look at you and find my tears aren't all dry.

your promise to be friends until the end you have broken,

without another word, no more signs of apologies spoken.

day by day as they all slowly fade away,

my self worth starts to stray.

i no longer care for what happens to myself whatever it may be,

because my one and only has stopped loving me.
